ATW's Guide to Shrink Wrapping Gift Baskets using the PacWrap® Shrink wrapper and Heat Gun Page 3

Drop-in Method : Enclose your complete basket with a bow

3A. When using this method, be sure your shrink film width is wider than your basket height. Pull out enough shrink film to cover the widest part of your basket. Then lower the sealing arm on the PacWrap® for 2-3 seconds. By using the PacWrap® Shrink Wrapping System you can make a custom size bag for just pennies! Fast too!
3B. Open the bag and drop your basket into this custom shrink bag. You can now trim the dog-ears on the basket bottom as shown in 1 C, or simply push them under the basket.

3C. Gather the excess shrink film evenly at the top of your basket. Now you can tie this off with a ribbon or other accent.

NOTE Film cost for this basket is 6-8 cents.

3D. Aiming your PacWrap® Heat Gun down, start by slowly moving the gun around the bottom of the basket, then move your way up to the top. Don't shrink the excess shrink film at the top. It there are dog-ears left, just shrink these with direct heat contact from the heat gun, then continue as described. Don't worry, the PacWrap® Heat Gun won't burn holes in your film, even with direct contact.

Through the Handle: Wrap your basket with the handle free

4A. Pull out enough shrink film from the PacWrap® Shrink Wrapping System to go over your products and under the handle of the basket. After you have made your seal, by lowering the sealing arm, you may open the seams to expand the width of the center-folded film.
4B. Pull the shrink film under the handle and over your products as shown. Wrap any excess film around the bottom of the basket.

4C. Crisscross the film at the sides of the handles as shown. This makes for a better, tighter fit to hold your products in place.

NOTE Film cost for this basket is 3-4 cents.

4D. Tape the film where it crosses to hold it in place. This can then be covered or not with a bow or other accent.
4E. Seal the film where it crosses using the ATW Hand Sealer. The excess film may be trimmed with a pair of scissors. This again may or may not be covered with a bow or other accent.
4F. Take the PacWrap® Heat Gun and hold it right down onto the shrink film at the bottom of the basket. Don't worry, the PacWrap® Heat Gun won't burn holes in your film. Proceed around the bottom working your way up to the lip of the basket. Now shrink the film over the top of your products. A piece of tape may be placed on the basket bottom for security. Now, your items will be held securely in place. Secure enough for shipping and good looking at the same time.
